How do you remove the lock on a kh500
I have no key and the bike is fitted with new ignition switch and seat lock

Presumably you have removed the rivet and cover plate?
From memory I think that you just have to insert the key (and possibly turn it) and the barrel will just pull out. Is there a number stamped on it to get a replacement from Malcolm? If not, you can usually find another that will work with a bit of jiggling about, provided it is same hand i.e. odd or even.
You must have enough triple keys now

Yep removed rivet and cover, tried every key ive got, even pocked about with a wire like they do in the movies

As Tony said, it is that simply, after removing the rivet and cover plate turn the lock to release the steering lock and the lock should just drop out. make sure you have the correct key to suit the lock number and some oil if it does not budge. Brute force is not required.
Have you still got the original ignition switch or seat lock with a number on it.
You can still buy the rivet from Kawasaki.

I don't have the key for the lock,This is why I want to remove it so hopefully there is a number on it so I can buy a key from Malcolm,

I think you need a key to remove it from the housing , if you want it out without a key , drill it.

I have a lot of keys mate ...............but early ones. It might cost you a few bob but a mobile locksmith would sort it out for you ??

Very often the steering locks are seized up as due to their location they get a lot of dirt in the cylinder, so it's entirely possible you have the correct key already but the cylinder is seized.
The barrels are usually seized into the bottom yoke and the cylinders are seized into the barrel so the removal process has to be in two stages. You firstly free off the cylinder by squirting WD40 into it and heating gently, the WD has a low boiling point and as it boils it flushes out the crap that is seizing up the cylinder as well as getting lubricant to the wafers.Once you have the key turning you repeat the heat and WD process on the barrell and the assembly should eventually slide out.
Without a key you could use a pick and tensioner but it's a skilled business on any cylinder let alone a seized one, the final option is of course to drill it out!

Great advice Malcolm , But everybody knows that the " LAST " resort is an oxy torch and a sledgehammer ?!!!
