Jurby Festival - H1 50th Anniversary - 25th August 2019
Posted: Fri May 10, 2019 9:30 am
As this year is the 50th Anniversary of the launch of the H1, the club is planning some special celebrations. One of these events will be at the Festival of Jurby in the Isle of Man on Sunday 25th August 2019.
The festival is organised by the VMCC and is the biggest one day event on the Isle of Man, attracting over 10,000 spectators and an estimated 5000 bikes and historic vehicles. You also get the chance to meet and chat to some of the greatest names in motorcycling history; it is one of the best Vintage Motorcycle events in the World.
Our main focus will be to put on a display of every 500cc model, plus some interesting 500 specials, but we will also welcome H1R & H2R race bikes, KH & S-series triples and H2’s. It is an excellent opportunity to exhibit some fantastic bikes and promote the club.
We are also planning at least one track session for every model triple which is scheduled for 15 minutes. It’s possible that we may have two sessions but this is very much dependent on how many other clubs/guests the VMCC need to accommodate. Also, the maximum number on track is 40, so you need to let me know as soon as possible if you are bringing a bike and want to take part. Email me at members@kawasakitriplesclub.co.uk with your details and I will add you to the list.
The Kawasaki Triples Club will be the guests of the VMCC Isle of Man Section and therefore anyone displaying bikes will not be charged. If you are also a member of VMCC the event really opens up for track time as they have historically enjoyed three track sessions. See the VMCC website for details.
Most regular visitors to the Classic TT/Manx will have already booked crossings and accommodation. If you have thought about going it is highly recommended, but it is very popular so don’t delay and book early!
• Signing on will be available from 8:30 and the first track session will start at 10:00am.
. Entrants are requested to arrive and sign on early.
• Machine(s) entered for the Jurby track event do not need to be road legal.
• Entrants will be required to sign-on, on the day at the the VMCC Marquee.
• Clothing - Belstaff type suits or leathers, stout boots and gloves.
. NO Pudding Basin Helmets, Armoured Jeans or Trainers will be allowed.
• Rider MUST be 18 years of age or older at time of the event
