H2 clutch separator springs missing

The clutch is dragging after all that has been done, new plates, new steel plates, new actuator and new springs. Should there be clutch separator springs in the basket as the clutch has none and it drags?
Any feedback welcome.
PS My Birthday this Saturday and I hoped to be on the road by then

The separator springs do not eliminate a clutch drag. Have you adjusted the actuator with the adjustment screw ? you can read up here :

There should be a steel spring between each steel clutch plate. Check the manual to see wht else you are missing.
Just an after thought you have cut down the tangs on the outer fiber plates ? They go below the outer steel ring on th he basket.

I found a youtube video on the same subject, but cant find it now...............
Basically he stripped clutch and filed off all the previous wear marks to both inner and outer drums where the old clutch plates had been positioned, he did a before/after video and it appeared to fix it

What oil are you using? Modern synthetic/semi-synthetic can cause clutch drag. Personally I'd recommend mineral oil only.

Hmmm..that is news to me. How can an oil cause clutch drag? I always thought that the 'modern' oils you refer to can cause clutch slip.What oil do you recommend to use ?

When I got my H2 it had what I later found to be semi-synthetic oil in it. The clutch dragged after it got warm, it was OK from cold. Was recommended Motul Transoil SAE 10W30 Mineral, as soon as I changed to it the clutch (completely stock) was fine, no drag, no slip even under quite hard load.
Works for me.

Ian sorry I haven't been in touch ive had a lot on my plate Steve Wollett will tell you one issue it could be is the inner and outer hubs binding together , the sleeve gets crushed slightly and that's causes clutch drag
