400 x 18
just out of curiosity I took my verniers and measured the width of both, the BT45 is the wider of the 2 measuring 119.54mm
The Avon measures 113mm
Just thought I would share my findings
As much as I love the BTs I find on early 500s there's very little wiggle room before the tyre sidewall catches especially if you've got new chain and sprockets

Funny you should post that Gary.
As you know I had issues with Roadriders rubbing the centre pipe on my H1B.
I changed to BT45’s and now have no issues.

You will find each batch of tyres from what ever manufactuer will have slightly different tolerances.

Its been talked about on the RC30 FB pages as using different wheels (for better tyre choice) comes up with the same issues with side wall catching the rear mudguard/chain etc on some but not always!!
