Carole Nash are messing me about so tried RH specialist, over £700 because I have a Z1000sx (2017) and other classic bikes, ridiculous. Anyone know of others ?

Im £600 with two RC30"s on the policy with RH. Tel 0333 043 3911
Ive also still got a speeding conviction on it and two car/van accidents (one was my Iain on my policy )
The quote is based off the highest value bike (£28000)
Ive 9 bikes on it with a total insured value of £125,000.
Might be worth a call but an RC30 is I guess a classic now

Strange that. I have a 2017 MT09 and 5 classic bikes with RH, just renewed a couple of weeks ago for £270.

Peter James and Footman James seem to be the other popular choices.

I had the same problem Dave. H1 500, H2 750 are both classed as classics already. 2003 VFR800 they class as a future classic, so no problems there.

But 2015 Crosstourer and hit a problem, like you, more expensive than Carol Nash. In the end I was out of time so stayed with them at £432. What I really don't get is the £52 broker fee?

Afterwards, RH suggested I do two seperate polices next year? Will try and make sure I leave more time.

I use Peter James (Birmingham) - I have 8 classic bikes on the policy - £270.

I use RH to cover 2 classic bikes (meaning over 15 years old ) for about £100 ( which includes breakdown cover ) and Bennets for a modern bike . I don't think mixing classic with modern on the same policy is ever going to be cost effective because of the way RH place the insurance with a specialist classic bike syndicate at LLoyds.

RH certainly seem popular, I'll try a couple of others tomorrow, if same I'll stay with Carole ! I'm not ready to sell the SX yet . Thanks ( jealous ) Dave

Took off the Diversion.........price paid £259.

Seems it's best to insure more modern stuff separately....

Well bugger me its sorted, waited all afternoon yesterday for a call back, never happened!
So rang Nash one more time to get ncb details and a very nice man asked why I was leaving, after a chat he put the extra bike on my car/bike policy and computer said no charge, which is what happened last year when I put the DT175 on.
I suppose it's the luck of the draw

The killer with Caral Nash is they sting you for "admin charges" if you make any changes. It used to be about £35 a time.
RH don't charge for changes....

You’re absolutely right Craig, I had to pay admin charge because I’m now retired, still, I did try other insurers but once I’d spoke to an agent with a brain it was cheaper to stay.
