WHEEL RIMS – TAKASAGO

Up to 1976, 4 = 1974, ‘A’ for January, 'B' for Feb thro to 'L' for December.
So 5D is April 1975

After 1976 moving to a more conventional MM YY format.
So 1077 is October 1977

TAKASAGO 185 X19 4K 303

Takasago is the manufacturer, then the rim size, then a number, then a letter, then 3 numbers.
The number after the rim size is the year the rim was made. 2, 3, 4, 5 etc....197(2) 7(3) etc.
The letter denotes the month of manufacture.....A-L. Jan- Dec.
The last 3 numbers tell you if the rim is H1 or H2 or other model.
S1/2 = 303 front, 307 rear
S2A = 304 front, 307 rear
KH250/S3/KH400 = 308 front, 307 rear
H1/H1A = 302 front, 305 rear
H1B> = 303 front, 305 rear
H2 = 303 front, 303 rear

SHOWA DATES
47=1972
48=1973
49=1974
50=1975
51=1976
52=1977 etc.
7=1972
8=1973
9=1974
0=1975
1=1976
2=1977 etc.

WHEEL HUBS, CAST PARTS, SPEEDOMETER / TACHOMETER
49.12.20 20 is December 1974
52.9.22 22 is September 1977

BRAKE DISC
9V = Dec 1974 (49 Showa, 4 weekly code).
Unless anyone tells me differently there are 13 letters I know of: A, B. C, D, F, H, K, L, N, R, S, T, V. It would seem reasonable to assume that these letters would relate to a 4 week period with A being the first 4 weeks of January and V being the last 4 weeks of December
