Kawasaki Triples Club

Not quite triple related but i know some of you do also run Z"s.
I took the KZ900 out yesterday for a trip up to Z power .
This was a 2015 Mid Ohio purchase and it was running when i bought it.
Its done 10,000 genuine miles.
I have to say riding this or the 72 Z1 there is no difference.
Including purchase,import and parts bought it stands me at £3200 so quite a cheap bike!
Its not mint, which is what I want , but it is nice.
The roads were damp under the trees (as they say in the TT commentary!) and i do enjoy riding the bike.

2020

Feb 2020 10508 miles new genuine clutch cable-£32.00p (it snapped when i pulled it on!)
2020 July 10508 miles new oil and filter £35.00p (be false economy not to)

2021

March 10th tail and side panels repainted (Exchanged some parts for paint job)
April 7th new BT 46 tyres Fitted Mileage-10538 £200 + new tubes £20
April 7th new genuine brake pads (from stock) Felt the brakes were poor and it has improved them)
April 22nd new speedo cable £10 (it snapped)

I stopped at the corner above as its one of the few places where the hedge has been removed!
Its a 90% blind bend and sharper than it looks and many cars crashed her!
I put my XR3i in the field here in the 1980"s just after they removed the banking and hedge!

Kawasaki did well from this model keeping the basic silhouette for 5 years and even on to the Z1000 it retained it apart from the 4 into 2 exhaust

Another picture where you can see the sun bleached paintwork.

It looks so much better now IMHO, proper pipes and proper seat, nice paint too (still bleached tho ? )

I changed a few of the chrome bolts on the heads too Rog as I had a load of nice ones in one of the "job lots" from the USA,
and there was nice engine casing screws in that lot it too.
Did clean it up too but I hate cleaning so didnt spend to long at it
It goes well and rides well.
Total different experience from a H2 though!!

Its a lovely original looking 'rider' bike Malc, and without having to spend a fortune ...I like it
