H1E Rear brake judder or “pulsing”?

Hi

When using the rear drum brake on my recently purchased H1E I’m getting a strong judder or “pulsing” through the rear brake pedal. One members’ suggestion has been an “elliptical” drum where (I’m guessing) the drum has become distorted in some way?

I’ve put the bike on the centre stand and tried to twist the wheel to check if there’s any obvious free play in bearings etc. but all seems well. Has any one experienced this and if so, what was the fix?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards

Graham

Agreed Chris, I had a CB750 that had one, you could see corrosion between the alloy hub and steel drum forcing it out of shape

Thanks guys. Does anyone provide a skimming service on this forum or alternatively what’s the cost of a used replacement hub?

Have a good look at it. I had one cracked straight across and got similar judder. No amount of skimming will cure that.
