Front indicator clamps

Chaps,
I’m sure that I just posted this but I can’t see it so here goes again.
I have now got my front indicator clamps back from the chrome platers.
My question is, after removing the front wheel, mudguard, brake etc can I just remove the top fork bolt, loosen the top and bottom yolk clamps and slide the fork down low enough to slide the clamps on, or will I have to dismantle the whole front end ?

There's 2 ways really but there as long as it is short
So you can
Pull the front wheel and loosen the pinch bolts for top yolk and bottom yolk remove the 17mm bolt in the head lamp bracket
Slide the fork down and remove the head light bracket to install the bracket
Or pull the steering damper centre nut and with assistance lift the top yolk and have some one holding it while you
Remove the head lamp brackets 1 at a time to install the indicator bracket.
Hope this helps

All,
Well I have at last fitted all of the indicators and I think it makes the bike look much better but I have a problem with wiring them up.
The rears were easy as the wire from each indicator just connected to a green wire in the loom for one side and a slate colored one for the other as per the wiring diagram in the handbook, and when I operate the indicator switch they light up in turn but don’t flash yet as the fronts are proving a problem.
According to the wiring diagram there should be a slate colored wire for each one but there is only one redundant slate connector in the headlamp. The diagram also shows a black/yellow wire for each one and there are two redundant wires of that colour in there but I have tried all combinations of connecting the sole wire from the indicators to both the slate one and both yellow/black ones but get absolutely nothing from either indicator.
I know wiring is a black art but do any of you have an idea of what I’m doing wrong ?

Hi.
I have a 71 S2 imported from the States. I came tatty but completely original. There is a double green and slate female connector from the main loom. One wire from the handle bar switch goes in
each the other being from the indicators The earthing wires from the indicator clamps connect to the two separate ones from the main loom.
