Hi You lot out their

If You are joining us from Kent on Friday 15th May, we will be meeting at the Oakdean Cafe Wrotham at 7am for a fat boy breakfast fuel up & then depart 8am sharp.

We will go via M26-M25 clockwise, top up fuel at Clackets lane M25 then proceed to the M40.

I guestimate we will get to Oxford Services at around 9.30/10am so if you want to join the Southern Shandy Swilling Nancy Boys Posse form Kent make sure you are on the fuel station forecourt in good stead for our arrival.

We will then depart as soon as we have re-fuelled & head north on M40.

E.T.A. Blackpool 2/3pm all going well with no hick ups.

We will be going a steady 70mph due to 2 reasons....1 I will be running in the H2 & 2 we need to conserve as much fuel as possible to keep the cost down

I cant afford another £75 fuel bill in just 180 miles like last year comming home from Nottingham

See you all Friday & See JP at Northern Rally In July 8)

For your info : There is a new service station at Junction 2 M40 (Beaconsfield). Just opened last month and not maped yet . Just in case your iron horses need watering again.

Be warned you Kent Posse in your vans on the way home:-

During last week, there were SPECS average speed cameras erected on the QE2 "Dartford" Bridge in Essex/Kent.

They start just before the bridge and end before the tolls at the end.

If you have driven by and not seen them last week, it's because they are mounted on a road gantry rather than on the normal yellow or blue poles.

Pictures here: http://btst.co.uk/QE2BridgeCameras/

Often there is a big delay between the cameras being put up and actually going live, but our source tells us that they are going live this week.

The SPECS area on the other side of the road is also being extended but we understand that the extra cameras haven't been cabled in yet.

BE WARNED : Mobile speed Camera positioned on bridge along M40 between jct2 and jct 3. It is there almost every day. Sometimes north bound sometimes south bound

Thanks to that camera I booked myself a speed awareness course.

Good shout, thanks. That is a fast stretch I could easily have been caught on a few times. Cheers.

Mobile speed camera is in a van or car. often a plain white van parked up somewhere with either one door open or maybe just a small window, cop inside just aims the camera at your No plate, camera records the speed and number, when the equipment returns to the station all offenders are printed a ticket which is sent through the post..

The Average speed cameras are on poles at fixed points and might not be watched at all, if your Reg No turns up on two cameras within a certain time (ie so you have reached another camera at a speed in excess of the limit) the computer logs the number and prints out a speeding ticket, which can be sent to a post room without any human intervention, a human operator might study the pictures if you contest it.
