Tony Dunnell on what is possibly the only UK mach 3 in the country in 1969?
Tony led the race comfortably before crashing at the 33rd milestone on lap 2
Note the low Oil pump cover and Electric Ignition decal on the Oil tank.
From memory only 23 were sold in the UK.

A very brave man taking a 69 H1 round the IoM.
I sh!t myself taking mine round Jurby. With the bendy forks and poor front brake. It didn’t help that the gear linkage fell off on the first lap!!

Tony lapped at 90.84 MPH on his first lap of the production race and he told me himself , at the Manx a few years ago, he seen 118 Mph on the speedo.
That 90 Mph average is so impressive given the lap record for the senior race at that time was 108MPH a record set in 1967 that stood till 2005!
Only his first lap was timed due to the crash on the second lap and as it was a LE Mans style mass start that lap included Tony running across the track and kickstarting the bike to get going!
Its got the long "European" rear mudguard on it to!

Tony pictured at Governors Bridge enjoying a 30second lead, lap 1 production race 1969. (photo taken from an original image by TT race pics)

Looks like a big tank too, with a full fuel load, very impressive!
