As far as I’m concerned the state of the roads in the U.K. is disgusting and plain dangerous especially for bikes

Increase funding for the repair and resurfacing of roads.

Done - thanks Simon. The roads around here appear almost 'booby trapped' for motorcyclists

P.S. - The Motorcycle Action Group are taking this up again - they really are worth joining if you want motorcycling to continue for the next generations of bikers.

I was out with my dog yesterday down our local roads, the council from time to time outline the pot holes for repair, I have never seen anything so stupid in my life, there are pot holes marked for filling in next to pot holes that they will leave, they obviously have a width/depth dimension for filling these, next week the road is closed for 3 days to fill these pot holes in, yet they will leave the slightly smaller pot holes only feet away from their bigger mates ffs how stupid are these people?

Luxury Tilly,
in my road there has been that sort of damage for the last 10 years, road irregularities the council say, no action taken.
Now the irregularities have broken through the previous surface into the foundations, pot holes. The local councillor finally
got active and had arranged for the road to be resurfaced during the first week of May, great. We are still waiting. The 4th of May
was the local elections and having a polling station in the old village school and the road being closed for re-surfacing was a bit of a conflict.
So they cancelled the resurfacing, more pot holes are developing and no sigh of a new date for repair. Couldn't make it up!!

They did close the road for 3 days but it wasnt for the 'pot holes' it was to put a service into a new house, Obviously no one had the intelligence to call the pot hole repair team and tell them the road was closed, that would be 'joined up thinking' after all
