NW Rally 2023 - Programme & Route

Preparations are well underway for the best Triples rally of the year :D

Everyone is welcome to attend, but only club members will be allowed to come on the ride out. We are going to be quite strict on this, if someone is not a member and has a serious accident then they are not covered by the club liability insurance. Individually as organisers, me, Simon and Higgsy could then be liable and the subject of a large claim brought by the family, or more likely their insurers.

We are also going to encourage people to stay and attend the presentations in the evening. In the past people have showed their bike, won a trophy and left early. This year if the winner is not present then we will give the trophy to the next best vote winner, which we think is fairer to people who support the event.

Hope to see you there!

Hi All
I'd love to do the Saturday run on my little old KH250. But I won't do it at break neck speeds keeping up with the larger and more daring riders. Ever thought of "parade like rideout". No overtaking, excessive speeds, annoying locals and so on. Tin helmet on with expected response.

I will be doing the rideout on my 250 both Friday and Saturday as no doubt will a few others. With the drop off system we use you can ride at your own pace. There is no problem riding a smaller bike.

As Simon says, people ride at their own pace. As a “sweeper” many times at the back, I can assure you that a lot of people don’t ride faster than 50mph, don’t overtake and don’t filter.

It’s not a problem and a bit of an unfair comment.
