Hi.
Good you managed to get a top up. Pop that way bit on my S2 for a ride out also. I always brim my bike before going and top up there. Maybe its just a triple thing but when riding about the parks/moors Im always giving the approching petrol stations a good look over to see the state of service even if not stopping. Lovely scenery and roads but wouldn't fancy pushing around them.
In my earlier years had a few experiences of running dry. Pushed my KH250 about 6 miles after 11pm once. Drained fuel from another bikes fuel pipe into the side panel to transfer some a couple of times. Towed dry bikes numerous times [ at silly speeds ]. Dumped my dry Yam IT465 in a ditch coming out of Royston at 2am and went in search of some premix in Cambridge - found some surprisingling. Silly days.

Last time I ran out, two guys passing on Harleys donated a bottle of fuel from their panniers, wouldn't take any payment but made me promise to pass on the favour sometime, somewhere..

I must admit my H2 went onto reserve recently, for the first time in the 5 years I’ve owned it. And being out in the sticks I had to Google the nearest petrol station. 😐

No such problems on the Africa Twin though. 😉
