For the last couple of years I have been using Esso E5 as I believed it contained 0% ethanol, I recently read that from September 2023 they were going to add ethanol to bring their fuel in line with the other suppliers out there.
Anyone got any more info or what do you use ?
Yes Aspen is available but a bit rich for my pocket.

I’m told BP top grade is still ethanol free??

I thought E5 reflects it contains 5% Etharnol? And E10 likewise? I would love to put something better in, especially while it's left standing over winter.

Have you tried fuel fit, petrol stabilizer ? I believe quite a few folk use it, I've just done mine

Thanks for the heads up on the ‘fuel fit’ I will investigate further, sounds perfect.
Mick G, the E5 means the supplier of the fuel can put up to 5% ethanol in their product, Esso apparently, up until September were ethanol free in their E5 so were the ‘go to’ petrol station for the classic car community. ( Just what I have read )

Does anyone know for sure if BP Ultimate is ethanol free?

Looking for an alternative to Esso now their E5 has apparently gone from 0% to 5%.

Have looked briefly at the BP website but cannot see anything definitive?

The superunleaded BP stuff around here is E5. No non ethanol available. During the Winter months when I may use the bike less,I put in Sta-Bil.

Is that what it says on the pump or is that what it actually contains though? The E5 label is a legal requirement for the max amount it can contain (but it can contain less) the Esso super fuel used to have E5 on the pump but actually contained no ethanol.

Now that I couldn't say for sure. It's just labelled as E5 Superunleaded and sadly priced accordingly.
