Apparently some S3s had cheese-cutter style front number plates to some UK spec models. I don't think i've ever seen a photo of any Triple fitted with one of these. Do they exist? I mention it because i have the two holes on the mudguard of my UK spec bike. If anyone knows.... It may be less desirable but im curious.

I think up until around 1975 in the UK,we had to display a front numberplate,so bikes before that came with one from new. I certainly had plenty like that. I still bear a scar down my left leg after being clobbered by a mate with a bacon slicer on his 250 Honda!

I remember being quizzed by the police on occasion,as some were slow to note the changes. We also used to run a curved plate under the clocks, facing forward as an alternative.

Mine came with the curved plate mounted underneath the Headlight in 1975 (There is a handy bolt hole)..

My old H2B 750.... still loved and kept in outstanding condition by the present owner, and yes, it still has this front plate on the bike.

Early 1973. Looks like it wasn't a provision that Kawasaki made so maybe down to the dealer's creativity.
