Am I clutching at straws?

I have an original H1B cover, the only damage to it a small rip in one side and a big rip in the other
All the pattern covers I've looked at don't look right, so I'm trying to salvage this one
I have done ons side with some copydex and vinyl , the result is OK and I can live with it.
However this is the otheside
I know it won't look perfect but neither does the rest of the bike
Any suggestions anyone?

How about gaffer tape inside with another piece back to front which gives a black background, then your Copydex to keep that and the outer cover together?

Tiger seal - brilliant stuff - sticks like the proverbial to a blanket and can be tooled over joints.
