Everbody will have a different answer to this one, but I've used TT100s for many years, 3.60 19 front 4.10 18 rear. A decent mix of grip, life and period looks. imho.

+1 but the rear tyre doesn't do more than 6000 kilometers or around 4600 miles.

Thanks Tom was looking at the TT100 so I`ll go in that direction.

Thats the way I'm thinking of going on the H1F.

Paid extra to put TT100's on the KH250 back in 1976 instead of the crappy Bridgestones, and they were great.

Bought the KH500 in 1977, couldn't to do the same and wham. Rain, 15mph, lorry stops, front wheel was out!

Unless anyone has good alternatives.........................

PS. Whatever happened to crappy Bridgestone????

I have put Bridgestone Battleax on my H1B just a few months ago.
I managed to squeeze a 120/80 18 on the rear and a 100/90 19 on the front. really impressed with the improved grip.

avon road riders look ok just put one on my h1 got to be carefull on the sizes though bridgestone are wider so are metzeler and the tyre hight is different than the old tyres, on the new makes as i have just found out to great expense i put a bridgestone on loved the grip ect but when the chain stretched it was wearing a hole in my center pipe so if you are buying them blind go with the trusted old sizes not this low profile lingo withlower side walls there can be a 40mm differance in ride hight

Sure you'll be fine with them Eric.

I agree with JP on the life of the rears, but at least the front lasts a long time!!

Had used the TT100 on the back in the 70s but never on the front always had the old rib type. They came yesterday and I`ve put them on.Regards JP and wear,I would think thats the norm.Its the same on my VFR 2 to 1.

The Bridgestone Battleax's are to swear by and if a 120/80 18 on the rear and a 100/90 19 on the front will fit then it must be the best combo.

I agree Tom, am actually on my fourth rear K 81 on my 69 H1 but still the same front tyre in GC!!!

What size did you go for in the end? Factory spec?

I put a 360 front and a 410 rear,I did consider a 425 because when I bought it new I think it had Brdgestones one(I`m sure I`ll be crrected if I`m wrong) and the rear was a 425.Back in the 70`s they only did the TT100 in 410.
