Has anyone replaced the original Mitsubishi F6T00173 coils with a suitable proven replacement/upgrade? I'm conscious that the originals are now 50+ years old. Also looking to replace the original rectifier/regulator. I have used Podtronics in the past?

Kawa Triple Parts sell replacement coils.
If you want to keep the originality then Rex’s Speed Shop do exchange refurbished reg/rect’s.
Send them yours and get one with modern internals.
