H2 Oil leak

Hi My H2 seems to leak 2 stroke oil from around the oil pump area. Is there a common place to check first ? I've never really looked at this system before and not sure where to start. Thanks in advance. By the way the previous owner had the oil leak fixed by Jawasaki earlier this year.

It is very common but I'm afraid it is up to you to pin down where it is coming from...
Banjo Gaskets? (any one, or more).
Feed Pipe to Banjo?
Pump End Cap?
Cam Oil Seal?
Drive Pinion Oil Seal?
Those are the usual places.. not in any order of popularity.
Dabbing around with the tip of a Kitchen roll sheet should help pin it down. Good Luck.

The part with the hole in it is the kitchen roll shelf.

Do not be tempted to over tighten bolts!

Ok thanks, I'll go for the kitchen roll instead of the breaker bar.

Looking at the second picture it looks like it's the camshaft seal leaking. I think that's red oil in the return spring.

My 1st port of call would be the loose banjo bolt in your second picture

Thanks. I snugged them all down cautiously. It was unfortunately still leaking, so I replaced the 2 oil feed washers as they looked a tad iffy, to me. I didn't have any new ones so I tried a couple of spare plastic washers for my Suzuki GT550's oil feed system. It hasn't leaked since.
