69 h1

OK some of you might now that I have bought a 69 h1 off RB.
while looking for some pictures, I came across this

it is from the KHI site in Japan
is this a pre production photo?

oh and what colour should the III be in the badge on a 69 h1
I can find repros with it colours red
but something tells me it should be blue

Gary, just have a look at my 69 parked in front of my office with the genuine side cover and emblem, the badge has white inside mach and 500 and red inside III.
Yes this picture is very early H1 with the front brake in the other side, no kawasaki on the ignition cover, grey side cover, black head light shelll and so on, have a picture of the first H1 came in Denmark on april 69 which is very similar.
I don't put the picture on the forum as I've sent it to Malc years ago for an article he wants to do about early H1 in club mag 8)

I know the early pre production models had the front brake on the other side ..but just noticed the headlamp brackets are different as well...that is a great photo Gary!! JP any idea if speedo had different calibration marks as I have a NOS one that ain't the same as normal!! CHEERS rob

That I know about very very early H1s is there were plenty A1 A7 parts.

Thanks JP! Got Yogi to take photo on his phone to show RB when he gets back from the US when I picked up my refurbed clocks from his place early this week...TOP JOB by the way so will see what he thinks?? Cheers Rob
