I am organising a ride out/meet to Hartside in April.
This seems like an ideal location to meet as its not a million miles from many of us.
Who is up for it and which weekend in April shall we go.

Right you lot. We will go for 18 April. Weather permitting. This is the date of the Garstang Jumble so we could meet there around 10ish then ride up to Hartside. Its about a 150 mile round trip so should be a good spring warm up ready for the NW rally the month after.
Anyone interested

Its a long story Malc
1. The KH400 I was building to take to last years NW Rally :!: has been completely finished since last April except for paint. I was badly let down by my long standing painter, he had it over a year and never finished it. just before Xmas and took it to my new painter Ted at Retro Paint. He did a great job and I got it back a fortnight ago. I eagerly fitted it and filled it with fuel. On initial start up it basically shit itself

This engine has new crank, rebored with new pistons. On inspection the R/H piston and bore were VERY badly scored

The rings and piston were still intact. All we can think is some sort of debris has got into the bore (as I said it has been stood in my garage for nearly a year so I suppose anything could of got in there, have you seen my garage !!!). We stripped the engine and found no debris but did find some tell tail signs of something bouncing around in there

We put it back together managed to salvage the barrell and fitted a new piston. Now the bastard will not run properly.
At this point I should tell you the Royal we is Higgsy, I consider myself very lucky to have such a good mate and fellow club member to help , he has spent a good part of his last 2 days off helping me with this DISASTER cheers Higgy !!!For me this is what the club is all about, helping each other out with these piles of shite we love so much !!! The bike now resides at Mr Higgs house.

and is not coming back untill its right
2. The S2. Don't fcukin ask

The hardest restoration I have ever done but I'm getting there.
3. The S1. Frame is being repaired as we speak, then the build can start.
4. Higgsy's Baby H2. Not started it yet.
All 4 of these bikes as supposed to be ready for
THIS years Blackpool Rally.
