Track Day at Oulton Park - interested?

Our fellow triples enthusiasts in the Kettle Club have asked if we?d be interested in a track day at Oulton Park (in Cheshire for those who don't know) on 28th September 2010; they'll send us further details if we ask them, so it would be good to know if there is any interest out there!!

Unsurprisingly, it's for two-strokes only, so you wouldn't be limited to taking a triple!

There'll be a similar mention in the next club magazine, so assuming there's enough interest, I'll post some details about times, costs and any rules/limitations when I get them.

Good ol' Bazza. Last time I saw him was at a Transatlantic Trophy race at Brands Hatch, sometime in the early-to-mid 80s. Others racing were Rob McElnea and, I think, Ron Haslam and Terry Nation on the rotary Nortons, but my memory's not too great.

Same here. Last time I went was in 1976 on KBV 25N (H1E). Sheen, Roberts, Grant, Romero, Crocksford, Tait,Williams etc. Good times. Ian.

Last time I saw Barry Sheene was at Oliver's Mount , him and Mick Grant were both on one wheel on the way into the hairpin 8)
Basically a game of chicken , who would hit the brakes first. :D :D
I must be getting old I can't remember who got the upper hand

It seems you just ring up and book yourself in on the following telephone number: 01474 875 219

I'm told an advert is going in CMM, so it should get a response - keep an eye for it. I'll try and get it in the next magazine in June (?) if it hasn't already appeared in CMM by then. Apparently the RD and LC boys are up for it and there are a few race bikes lined up!

How Strange that I invited them to come to our southern rally 2 years on the trott at the last two Gate rally's & the 1st Garden Of England rally 2008

I was told on all three occations that they would be attending & as we all know they never turned up :?:

I am all for it even though I wont be able to attend myself, I for one think it would also make a great rally event if we were able to have a combined Kawasaki & Suzuki Triple rally once a year, what a SCREAM That would be  8)

Have marked that date in my agenda. Will try my best to keep free.
Would be great to race with a few other triples -not suzi's because those are waaaay tooo slooooow.
Racing with triples has only happened in France so far. That was with 400's.
Hope you UK-guys have the balls to actualy do it.

Sept 28th is on a tuesday! Is that date correct????

Would it be wise to let us on the track with the H2o's :D you know what were like, if they try to out brake you into a bend it will get personal "I'm not letting that pile of (Suzuki) shit past me" sort of thing
OK I'm going count me in :D
