h2 sealed beam unit

help does anyone know if the early head light rim and light unit from the plastic h2 back shell will fit in the 72 metal shell

Not sure. The sealed beam unit has the same part number pre- and post frame number 02686 (which I assume is the cut off for the plastic shell). The rims however, have different part numbers.
