Taking a break!

I would like to thank all those people who have sent me cranks & reed conversions, etc, to do and are still waiting. The hold up was due partly to me being a bit poorly and also a problem with our H2 rods supply in the USA. All is back on track now but I have a bit of a back log. Therefore I respectfully ask that no-one send me anything to do for a while as:

a) I need to catch up!
b) I want to finish my project bike.
c) I will be starting my treatment in a weeks time and will probably be a bit poorly again for a while.

Those who are still waiting will be getting their finished stuff back in the next week or so. I'd like to say thanks for the work and sorry for making you wait so long... For those who were planning to send me stuff I really apologise and hope to be taking stuff back on after Christmas - I'll post on here when I am.

I would also like to say a big Thank You to all who have supported me with work as, without it, I would not be able to afford to go racing.

Thanks,
Chris. :D

Chris, It'll be great to get the crank back but in the great scheme of things it's pretty insignificant. You look after yourself.

Best wishes, Andrew

Andrew,

I'm still going to finish all outstanding work so your crank will be done shortly. Thankyou anyway for not pressuring me to get it finished!

Cheers!
Chris. :D

Thanks Mr Tartan!

They've now changed my treatment from Chemo to Radiotherapy so I had to go & get "marked up" They put me on the table and propped me up with foam pads, etc, on the CT scanner and then told me not to move a muscle. The machine did it's stuff & then I got like little crosses put onto both sides and the middle of my chest. Stung a bit and when I got home & looked I could see why. It's like they scratched the cross marks on me and I'm sure there's a tiny piece of metal in my skin too? Probably wrong but I'll ask when I next go there. Does anyone know what the power rating is on one of the X ray machines as I want to know if it's worth taking a Ginsters in with me?

A couple of rashers of best back, streaky, oak smoked bacon should set the alarms off Chris

Hey, good luck M8, I'm sure that you will soon be feeling better, despite all this crap you're dealing with.

Good luck M8...(BTW. Ketchup is the best sauce for bacon) :)

Chris, my very best wishes to you mate and hope the treatment goes well. Personally, i would take a crank shaft in with you. When it heats up it will be easier to take apart :D . Talk soon. RR

Thanks guys. The place at Taunton I'm being treated at is amazing - all new & wizzy, a bit like the Enterprise but smelling of disinfectant!

When you go into most Hospitals these days they don't smell like they used to, I think the disinfectant smell = clean! so be pleased :D

Good luck with the treatment Chris

I spoke to the Lord of the Rings himself yesterday and told him I'd be at the track to kick his butt in the spring. I may even have to pull a plug lead off to give him a bit of a chance! ( I actually left a plug lead off about 18 months ago & ran a 12.7sec 1/4 - I thought it sounded funny!)

You spoke to the Lord of the rings?? Surely, it's the Lord of the pistons you need to talk to :smt043
