THOUGHT I SHOULD SHARE MY THOUGHTS ON BRITISH GP.

I ALWAYS TRY TO GO ON THE FRIDAY AS ITS CHEAP/ RELAXED AND HAS PLENTY OF ACCESS TO VIEW THE PRACTICE. 10th JUNE THIS YEAR.
IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD THOSE GP BIKES LIVE? ITS A MUST, THEY ARE SO LOUD!

THIS YEAR A ROVING STAND TICKET IS £18.

BE GOOD TO MEET UP WITH A FEW OTHERS.

ITS ALSO A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE BIKE OUT!

I went to the donington motogp last year and it was amazing.To be fair most of the bikes do sound like very noisy roadbikes but the ducati's sounded like absolutely nothing else,seriously the hairs stand up on the back of my neck just thinking about it.A must do!![/u]

Been there done that, got the tshirt and baseball cap I used to go every year.

As far as I'm concerned their havin your pants down just for the admission fee. Then when you get in you can't see a fookin thing, a butty n a brew cost you a fookin fortune .......

As Malc says it best to watch it on the telly or try to blag a VIP ticket. We had one a few years ago, free food n drink, scantily clad young ladies draping their selves all over you, freebies and a big screen and it does't cost you a bean thats the way to do it.

yep, fully agree with Simon.
We used to go every year,a big crowd of us all locals, but even the camping became hard work with restrictions ,elf n safety etc.
Then the racing in Grand Prix was never riveting well not for me anyway
We even used to go abroad doing Monza, Valencia and doing Assen ten years on the run.
Always superbikes abroad, cause you had Brits in it who could win!
We did loads of british superbike rounds as well.
dont bother with any of it now, but I do still watch it all on the telly

I prefer British superbikes out of all of them on the telly and have the least interest in Moto gp.

Have to agree with you about seeing the Race on TV. But if you have not seen/ Heard them and an opportunity to see what a great circuit Silverstone is also.
The practice day is a Fun day out on the Bike.

Had a an enjoyable ride on our trusty modern (My 98 Thundercat, Simons 91 TDM) to practice day on Friday. Good to meet up with my brother Alan, Trev & Peter.

we checked the forecast for race day and decided that it was better to be safe than sorry so we took the car and left the bike at home.....and let me tell ya it rained..big style, it was bloody freezing too
We were in the stand at Copse and were right in front of where Spies had his big off, the bike flipped over the fence and landed about 5 yards away from where we were sat, he didn't re-appear from behind the barriers for about 10 minutes..hope he is ok.

And the race was VERY VERY wet, and VERY VERY cold (CLICK ON IMAGE)



Enjoyed the day BUT the track is so far away from where you sit that in those conditions it was nearly impossible to make out who was who

Finally got home at 7.45 last night after a nightmare journey through shite weather.

Saw this at some services en route ...maybe it would have been quicker than my car

Best to see Race on the Box. To hear those beasts its good on the Practice day. Less chance of upsetting the Mrs on a Friday
