Royal Wedding NW Rideout

I'm sure most of you will be glued to the telly for the Royal Wedding, but for those of you who are not how about a run up to the Lakes.
Usual format meet at Caton then Devils Bridge then maybe down to Bowness for ice cream.

B~llocks, just had a call from me bruv, having a family get together, for the wedding and got to be there early,
now i'm really going on the rideout even if its pissing down dont call it off....please !!

How are your numbers Simon?
I'm struggling to get a response, despite having a potential visit (if numbers allow) to a transport museum.
Just one and possible one Triple owner, the Yorkshire Strokers however are champing at the bit and polishing their bikes as we speak.

first time on forum will try and make rideout will have to be on mv brutale was out on hib tonite going well then packed up no electrics at all

Funny you should say that. I was out on my H1B last weekend and it ran out of electric. A jiggle on the wires under the L/H side panel and it was right for the rest of the 150 mile ride.
Would be nice to meet you tomorrow

Yes. 5 of us in the end Dave Edmondson,Higgsy,Brian Mac, Mike ((I think
) and me. We had a good run with excellent weather and no hiccups. Hopefully Dave will post some pics later.

no hiccups apart from me falling off in settle ps to simon jim bowen is not dead yet he has been suffering from two strokes just like all of us but is recovering well!

For our 'sufferings' today we covered 120 miles in mostly fine sunshine, on what Higgsy and Simon kind of described as a 'test run' for the Big Blackpool Rideout next weekend. I don't know which route will finally be adopted but given decent weather you will not be disappointed.
If you don't fancy the rideout--ride the Big One on the Pleasure Beach!
No two-stroke victims to report, although I did wonder whether I had pulled into the pits when I first arrived because the toolkits were out and spark plugs were being compared! All quite understandable as it turned out------Higgsy was checking the fuelling to protect his no longer available Kawasaki pistons on his tuned 400 and Mr.Lister wanted to do likewise with his newly acquired 35 year old KH400 which had been pressed into action at very short notice---both ran faultlessly!
Dunsop Bridge in Trough of Bowland
Settle and the obligatory petrol stop (some needed more than others!)
Hope you got back o.k. Mike and no lasting damage.
If you all make the effort to turn up in droves next weekend and the weather is half as good it'll be a cracker!
