Top Man.
Got me crank back at the end of last week, super job all lovely and shiny again with new bits everywhere.
I think the only original bits left must be the pork chops.
Thanks Chris, I hardly dare fit it..

This is the before picture you wanted to see...

Thanks for the nice words guys - it's nice to have my work appreciated.
I have started work on my Moggie - I limit myself to afternoons only, leaving mornings to do paying stuff. It has been a dream of mine since I was 17yrs old to have a black, two door, split screen Morris Minor with a tweaked engine. I bought mine almost three years ago now and it's been sat on the drive all this time. I just want to get it all welded up & painted before the bad weather sets in.
It will appear totally stock apart from slightly wider rims and some nicer front seats. Uprated torsion bars at front with gas dampers all around will improve handling. Brakes are vented sierra discs at front & rear axle is a narrowed 2.0L item with a 3.44:1 diff and radius arms fitted. Engine will be either a 1.6 or 2.0 Fiat Twin Cam (as I have both!) with Fiat 5 speed box. The stock huge twin twin chokes are replaced with a new 1 3/4" SU carb on one off manifold. Electronic dizzy to replace stock. HID headlights and every bulb replaced with LED items.
Car is tuned & set up for economy & ease of mantainance. I'm sick of having to take other cars to garage to have electronic faults put right! Cars today are just too complex and not designed to have the home mechanic work on them.
Well that's my plan. I'll have to see how I get on dodging ill health and occaisional work.

There's nothing wrong with owning a Morris Minor as long as you don't join the Owners Club and start wearing cordroy trousers and big fluffy, patterned jumpers.
Errr, oh dear... I think I must have started young.

The only saving grace is that it's not patterned and I have got my sleeves rolled up to try and make me look 'ard..
