Hi, is there anyone on here or who is recomended for an H1 motor strip, check and re-build? Any idea of cost assuming seals and bearings need replacing along with a rebore, pistons etc?
Thanks.

Dave Higgs of Higgspeed exhaust fame has just stripped and rebuilt two H2 motors for me.
As a bonus he has a vapour blaster on site..
Did a top quality job at a good price.
Very highly recommended.
I supplied the gasket and seal kits to Dave.

You're in Derbyshire so Nottingham is close by. Try calling RB's and Alan Smith/Kev Melling who do much of his work now can take care of it. Possibly they can pick it up as a whole bike as they run around a fair bit too, then they can ensure it is set up and running correctly as well before you have it back. You won't be dissatisfied.

I can PM you various tel numbers if you don't have them?

Strip , inspect & rebuild. Labour £ 250.

Vapour blast all casings and top end. £ 140

New seals & gaskets all round £ 70

Crank rebuild with new rods £ 356 ( or just brgs & seals £ 220 )

Rebore £45 for 3 cylinders. Pistons ; Wiseco / Wossner or
Jap cheapies ?

Thats about right , eh ?

Why not save your self the expense now & just ride it over Beachie Head & have done with it

When I get me moped screaming with spunk I'm gonna ride , ride , ride! eeee up Jasper Carrot

long ago, outside a chip shop in Walthamstow, stood a young geezer called greezy joe, jumped on his moped & said lets go!

He was keen, off up the high St like Barry sheene, till he met Sue on her new machine!! Froooming away together Froooming away in leather, Ann & Joe.

They passed the bloody tower at 100 mph, & they were so amazed the tower bridge was raised, they raced off to the top but found they could'nt stop, they flew right off the end & landed in the Thames, Hand in Hand!!
