I don't think so. Here is mine at Cadwell in July 1977 (no.26) He must of bought the twin disc conversion the week after. I have the receipt dated 14/7/77 total cost £118.77 In 1977 I was earning £14.00 a week, and they say Kawasaki parts are expensive now. I'm selling twin disc master cylinders for £75.

Some really interesting shots there Cabbie.

The KR tandem twins caught my eye-I thought they only came in twin shock and uni-trak flavours.

If you look closely one of them has a single rear placed shock and belt final drive.

It could well be. When I got mine it had rearsets and flat bars, but had the front reflectors,no indicators and Koni shocks.

So unfortunately I doubt it

@ Mr Boring, I was at Daytona in '81 when Eddie Lawson was running a 250 tandem twin with belt drive, the team wasn't impressed, and as time is always short at Daytona because unlike the GP's where you could work all night if nessessary, at Daytona you were kicked out of the circuit at about 6.00 pm, so Eddie and the crew had the bike in the hotel room one evening whilst they converted it to chain drive! The hotel was the Howard Johnson, just down the road from the circuit and it was a motel style place with each room on the ground floor having patio doors onto the car park, very handy to get the bike in!
I just happened to be passing Eddies room as he came out so I saw it and he told me what was going on, we all thought it was hilarious, but I guess the hotel management wouldn't have been impressed!!!
I don't remember the suspension arrangement though, I too thought they only ran twinshock or unitrack. The tandem twins were always awesome bikes, especially in the hands of Toni Mang and Ballington, a little less so with Jean-Francois Balde who was always the clown of the outfit. Happy days.

Picture 14 is Rusty Bradley's H1-R and picture 19 is Rusty himself. He was tragically killed at Daytona Speedway in March 1971 aged 21.

This would make a good article for the Magazine with a bit of expansion and a few photos!

Not strictly Triple and the editor might not approve but they were fast, reliable, two-stroke, green, multi-cylinder and had Kawasaki written on the tank.
