...but not one I've ever seen before !

I got this photo from the Japanese Vintage Motorcycle page on Facebook.

Apparently, it's a 1962 Olympus 370cc triple ???

The blurb with it suggested that Olympus was an obscure early Japanese motorcycle manufacturer & this particular model never actually went into production. :)

The forerunner perhaps of our triples as we know them ? :D

Shame the cylinders have fallen over, otherwise very tidy for the time.

That motor reminds me strongly of the Ariel Arrow/Leader - and if you add 1 cylinder to a 250 then that would make a 370. The Japs of that period were taking a lot of, err, "inspiration" from external sources.

I think Scott beat them by quite a way with their 1935 3 cylinder 2 stroke.

JP ... is this where you got the idea for the 'larger touring' fuel tank  :?:

lovely bike, first time I see a picture even if I know it.
Have picture of the Olympus 250 twin and yes it's the same maker which do cameras.
Rog, like the tank too. 8)
