Rick used to try and keep up with who had what when I first joined, does he still do that?
And/or does the club have a list of what is where?

He certainly was able to tell me where (area) my original Kawasaki 500 was, which I bought new in 1975 when I first spoke with him. I think he still has some sort of database.

S2 used to belong to my mate Greg Young who had it for a good few years, it had a disc conversion on it in those days. He sold it to a guy in Birmingham who thraped it up the bypass the next day and seized the feckr.....it then spent some time under a tarp...

Er, "Events Geezer" here! Just caught up with this thread to see my thunder taken away!!
Yup, I bought the bike, but from a bloke in Coventry in 1988 (I can hardly believe I've had it 24 years!!). He only had it for about a year and did a half-arsed restoration on it. He showed me a picture of it when he bought it and I think it was purple and indeed, had a disc front end on it. He had fitted a drum front end on, including NOS forks (which are still on the bike now!). The remants of the disc front-end are also in my garage; a lovely combination of KH250/400 forks and S3 front brake!
I have the DVLA history and can confirm Greg bought the bike on 26th April 1980 (about the time I bought my KH250) and sold it to a guy in Sutton Coldfield (same town as Greg's) on 6th February 1982, so he's obviously been pining for it lately. You saying the guy he sold it to seized it ties in nicely as I think he butchered it in other ways in the five years he had it going by what I unearthed when I came to restore it!
Did I hear that the price of S2s is on the up?

I think you will find its not that bad. From records i hold many club members have bikes not been on road for a long time.
I have a KH500 last used 1990 KH250 B1 1977 S3A 1995 S3A 1982.

Yes I know he had one that old, he wouldn't let anyone have access to update it for him..
