Have you seen the article in this week's MCN (on page 4) about Bassets Pole?
Police and local councillor say it must reduce in size or stop?
Officers (Police?) have blocked the road to prevent riders attending recent Tuesday night gatherings :?:

The UK is turning into a Police State. Citizen Smith needs to return

Not in the mood for confrontation.
We could meet next Tuesday with the VJMC monthly meet down the road at the Turf Pub, Cannock.

They have been trying to stop it for few years now
Same old story, a few idiots spoil it for everyone else!
I've only heard of them turning bikes away when the weather is really nice (you can get a 1000 bikes + there on a hot sunny day) and the cops were turning them away a couple of weekends ago when we had our short summer

Vince, think we will go for it, the weather doesn't look that promising tbh and as long as you behave don't think you'll get any trouble.

Saying that - if by chance we are turned away - we can always head on up to the Mucky Duck - it's just a scream away up the A38 :D

Sorry to hear that Windy, never mind we'll see you next week.

If however there is some confrontation at Bassets, the contingency plan is THE MUCKY DUCK, (aka The Swan), Fradley Junction, Alrewas, Staffs. DE13 7DN

How to get there from Basset's:

Go north up the A38 and come off on the Alrewas exit. Go left at exit and then go straight over roundabout, heading for Kings Bromley. Take the 2nd left exit signposted for Fradley Junction (it's down the road a bit on a right hand bend). Go down lane and when you come to a canal bridge take the right hand turn at the bridge. Follow canal up the lane (watch those speed bumps!) and voila you are there.

My mobile is: 07760 753241 if needed :D

sorry Gary as mentioned on the phone i might not make it. I was rushed to the ER monday at 9am with a blocked kidney due to stones. I have never felt as much pain. I was curled up like a babey on the bathroom floor crying in pain waiting for the ambulance. A shot of morphine and all day sleeping at the hospital definantly took the edge off it.
Supposedly the two stones one 6mm and other 3mm ones are on the way down. The doc siad they would not do anything else as they have no time before i leave next monday. They gave me some pain pills and sent me on my way. Just hope nothing happens on the 8 hour flight eeeeh

never rains

looks like the stones came back and i had to have a stent put in around my kidney to relieve the pressure. Cant stop peeing and my dick is hurting due tothe pipe they shuved up it oooh.
The biggest pisser is even thou i have a UK passport and was born in the UK but now live in the USA i have to pay for the hospital. I thought the NHS was free for a UK citizen as i have never taken out insurance on any of my trips. They told me if i had been an asylum seeker it would have been all free. So the money i had taken pout of my pay when i did live here means nothing. I just hope that my health insurance in the USA wil pick up the tab.

this blows, a week taken for my holiday, never got to see all my mates and now i will have a big bill coming my way.
And why is the Heartlands Hospital in Brum run entirly by Indians and Pakistanies, where are all the English docs??? England is going down the tubes faster than i had emagined, i dont want to came back ever

i went to Good Hope first as its 5mins from the mother in laws, they sent me to the Heartlands as they said they have all the equiopment there. come to find out they dont and its all at the Solihull hospital. Cnat understand why they did not send me there first.

BTW i did get to go t the Pole for an hour the following tuesday. Saw 250 triple with a solo seat had gold rims and black spannies.
