500 kick start stopper

JUST A QUICKIE CHAPS..SPLITTING THE CRANKCASES ON THE H1, THE KICK START STOPPER DOES THE SHAFT HAVE TO BE HELD AS THE STOPPER IS UNDONE?.....OH AND TARTAN NOT SURE MY REPLYS HAVE GOT TO YOU?....PETE.

Not really you can allow the shaft to go 'Clunk' as you unscrew the bolt, it tells you when the bolt has cleared the kickstart...
Then leave it there until you come to rebuild you know there's only a turn or two to locate it again.
