just been looking on dvla web site NJR 525R my kh400 bought new from kawasaki world in south shields on 01/09/76 shows date of liability as 01/03/82 does this mean she's dead and buried or there is a chance she may still exist? it would br nice to be re-united with the old girl if she's still around!!

I have had three bikes in past year with liability as 6/77 9/82 & 6/95 so its possibly still out there.

Thats the date the tax was due. Unless it had been taxed since sorn was started there is no obligation to sorn it, so it could be still around. My kettle was listed as may 84 when I got it

The KH250 i sold Miami Mike in club mag had not been taxed since 1977! Year after registration. Of course it could have been used with no tax for some time.
