Just like to say a big thank you to Gary (Scouse) for stopping in and let me help him strip the '70 H1 motor :smt023
Definately the right thing to do as the seals and at least one bearing are shagged - so have txt Gary Clarke regarding a crank re-build

PS will sort carbs in the week

You won't be disapointed with your refurbed crank from the crankmeister, he has done 3 for me now all TOP class work :smt023

Hit the V instead of the C - corrected now though.
Have spoken to Gary C and crank will be sorted soon too

More thanks - again - Gary C for the rebuild looks great and thanks to Rick for collecting it from Gary when he was there
Just gotta wait for Gary T to be passing now to re-build the motor

I know what you mean Gary - the '73 H1D that Higgsy did for me was awfull - it had water sat in it and he had to get major work done on it - even had to replace some of the parts on the left side. Still struggling with the carburation on the left cylinder - guessing being sat in water for probably 10 years + (maybe even 20+) does not do it any good. It had even rusted a hole in the downpipe!!!!

Rebuilt motor slipped into the frame last night with the help of my oldest son.
Plumbed everything in tonight and she fired up 4th kick and just sounds so good - sounds even better than it did in 1978 when I last had a '70 H1.
