How easy are they to get hold of for a KH500 and what sort of price would i be paying if i can find some?

I've a sneaking suspicion i'll be selling the AR50 to help pay for em.

Z650F alloy wheels should go in. They are 19" disc front and 18" drum rear - just get em complete to make life easier.

If you have some AR50 alloy wheels the sale of those will easily pay for a set of wheels for your KH500.

The indonesians go mad for em apparently. Theirs have wire spoked wheels and alloys are highly prized. On a really good day you can get close to 400 quid for a clean set.

I have a full set of freshly painted undamaged bodywork too.

OK, so it has to be an F then? Any particular reason? Just so i can ask the seller because some on the bay just say z650 alloy wheel without giving the model.

Yeah, the 650B models had wire wheels with disc front and drum rear, the C models had alloy wheels but were twin disc front and single disc rear.

The later F models had alloy wheels with single disc front and drum rear

...and the SR models had a 16" rear...

Ironically - I am keeping an eye out for a 16" rear alloy wheel. I fancy fitting the fatter 130 section tyre that goes with it. The rolling diameter is pretty much the same as the 18" rears with it's narrower tyre...still no good for yours though cos the SR's were ( well the Euro ones at least) disc brake rear.

I'll ask him if he's still got it, he was going to scrap it.

He's chucked it Charlie i'm afraid.

Anyhoo.i bought a rear wheel for 11 quid, In examining the cush drives in the original wheel i find they are a different type to what goes in the Z650 wheel.
Do i need the Z650 sprocket carrier and rear drum as well or will the KH ones fit?

I have only just seen this part of the thread...I have for sale a pair of alloy seven spoke re furbed wheels the front is 19 inch with single disc , the rear is a 16 inch with a nylon sproket and drum brake these were originally off a Kawasaki chopper style bike but they were on a H2 A ..that I once owned they have old style TT 100 tyres fitted and the rear is very large but fits into the standard h2 swing arm.they are ready to fit on ,but will need the tyres replacing ...up for offers

I've noticed the cush drive rubbers from the KH won't fit in the Z650 rear wheel, there's no mounting holes in the Z650 wheel. Will i need a Z650 sprocket carrier and brake drum as well or will the KH ones fit?

Yes, your going to need a Z650 sprocket carrier, but the rear brake hub will fit.

Your also going to have to explore a smaller/shorter wheel spacer (Z650 arrangement slightly wider).

Hope this helps.

Thanks Doc. I'll machine the original spacers to fit or make some in stainless.
