H1 bars

Hi guys ... Does anyone know or could give me the measurements for a euro flat bar for early h1's & is it the same bar as fitted to the S series ? cheers ...

Don't have the measurements to hand, but they are definitely wider than the S series :wink:

Ta rick, patrick bras has some for sale at mo on ebay fr but wondered how different they are to a standard set of chrome 7/8's drag bars ...

I've bought most options of pattern Vincent Flats on the market over the years. None of them have been correct.

Main fault is angle of bend, but they all. Are too wide in the middle .

I suspect Patrik will have had his sets copied from "o.e.m." spec, though. They need to be between 6and 8 inches straight centre. Max. Then no more than a 2inch pullback, and 28 to 30 inch wide (max). .??

This is off top of my head. Most of the pattern ones are. 9-10inch straight centre and 32 inch wide. Which is too much of everything !!!

I'm sure Rick will have exact correct dimensions written down somewhere , and will let you know when he's back from Florida/Arizona/wherever!!!

JP. Has some fitted to his H1, sure he'll be able to give us the metric measurements too ?

OK. It really also needs a change to shorter cables too, as even a 104mm clutch cable has routing problems with low bars.

Yes Neil there repro high bar cables, was gonna try it & see if I could lose the extra length under the tank ... apart from frt brake that is if not it will be a trip to venhills ( which means i'll prob wait till next winter now )

Have any of you guys tried JJ Cables - I have and they offer a good service in price, quality and turn round times.

WTF Pete ? It's not much of a smart arse answer when. 'm giving advice to a.n.other.. I may well shorten my own cables , but I'll not assume the other person has that ability ? Another nipple ? More like an entire Ti...... Oh never mind .

KH250 clutch cable works fine on my H1b with flat bars

yes but don't think the KH 250 is grey and for really early H1 with drum "brake" front must be grey (who say the spedo cable on my 69 H1 with H1/H2B front with disc brake is black :wink: )
