I bet the club is reaching a peak now (if it hasn't already) due to the age group involved and any publicity is good publicity. I don't know how you expect to encourage new people to join if the rally is a closed shop?
I also encourage the promotion of our club and whole heartedly agree with your sentiment regarding dwindling numbers. My original post ended with a question which until now no one really addressed.

My point was that it would have been nicer to post the itinerary here first ( a web site paid for and maintained by voluntary club members ) rather than on FB. That is all.. no more no less. I did not accuse anyone of anything and did not intend to cause upset or division.

How would they not have known about the club rally if they are actually club members?
The Facebook group, althought it is called "Kawasaki Triples Club" is not in fact the same Triples Club that Rick started 30+ years ago but is an independant open to all Facebook group.
HMM. Actually THIS KTC isn`t the same one that Rick started 30 years ago ? It was revived by former members after Rick started to get too busy with his business to carry on running a Classic Kawasaki Club,...which in turn had superceded the old KTC. That`s a very loose summation. But I think close to the actual ?

Not unusually you have missed the point somewhat Neil, purposfully to stir it again? Huh, just what are we to do with you, you troublemaker . Whatever you are saying it doesn't change what I was actually saying, which is that this is a members club and the Facebook thing is an open to the public group and not really a club.

If Scouse does get a load of people coming from that source then he will, I hope, be busy signing them up.

Excuse me?

Your original comment was done in supersize, red, capital letters, three things designed to show your indignance, but you didn't want to cause upset or division?

Fair enough, I suppose, you have always done things slightly differently to most (and I can relate to that meself).

If the lack of communication and / or information concerning Club events is a concern to any members, may I remind you that the Post of 'Events Secretary' is available this year, here is your chance to help the Club hopefully move into a bigger future.

But meantime, I will add that the person who has kindly sorted out the Rally itinerary (in RBs absence) and posted it on FB, rarely comes on here, so FB will always be their first choice. Thanks to Nick for transferring it.

( b.t.w All this shouty shouty. Huh. !! SHAAAATTTT IIIIIIIIIIITTTT !!!!!! Which is no more silly a suggestion than the childish pedantry on this thread. Thumbs Up )

He tried to post it three times on the club site BEFORE he put it on face book but had no joy, just error of some sort kept coming up??
He said he can reply to posts but for what ever reason he cannot start a new one!
He also put on the btm of his Facebook post

Can someone post this on club site as it won't let me post

Yes - this is the message I got when trying to post - there is an invisible error in Yogi's original message that this site doesn't like - hence why I had to type it out again.

OK I think I have worked out why the original message wouldn't post.

I don't know what editor/device Yogi is using but the emoji that was embedded in the original message appears not to be compatible with this site.

If Yogi is trying to use emojis rather than the smilies 8) :smt119 available on this site then he will keep getting the error message. If Yogi posts something without emojis then that may prove my theory.

All of this hot air over a
