But I can't see any 159eu deals on there Leon.. are you sure?

If you can book that price from Dutch but not from the UK, could we send you the dosh to book it on our behalf?

I'll ring Ray tonight, I think he must be in prison again or busy.. :D

Wolfie, you will probably find those fares only apply when you start your return journey from Holland. I have come across this sort of thing before where the cost of travel on a certain route can be completely different depending on which end you start at. Unfortunately. :(
Give it a good try though please and see how you get on Thumbs Up

Try looking at DFDS freight, I'm sure somewhere they say we take private individuals
Worth a call?

Told you it was a fookin long way round :D ..

Cheers for the DFDS Link Gary, they look to be mostly freight and "Automotive Solutions" but I'll give em a ring tomorrer, Immingham is only slightly further than Hull Ferry Terminal, similar Ferry times but no Sunday return it'll have to be Mon-Tues

And we won't have to put up with those abysmal 'turns' they put on in the bar..

Leon, I mean that looks great! I'd pay that tomorrow.. but I can't help thinking there must be some P&O trick we're missing here.. is that each? is that one way? is that as foot passengers? is that before they add the cabin (mandatory) charge? (and mandatory breakfast?) and why can't I find that on the same website?

That's a third of the price to book from here.. I'll paypal you the money and our booking details if it's true..

Hi Graham

bad news, it's just the journey that's €122
I went all the way trying to book it, it turns out in total €572.- ouch

so from this side it's just as expensive

I thought it was gonna be something like that Leon, but thanks for trying anyway.

The Cabin isn't mentioned in their advertising blurb but you have to have one, they don't have sleeping seats any more..

And DFDS Immingham is Freight only... DFDS of course do passenger ferries from Newcastle which are more expensive.

So cheapest option so far was the £275.00 from Leons foreign Ferry Booking agent (online). I might go have another look at that but I suspect I had also missed something during the translation..

Well I just spent most of the evening going through the whole business on the Dutch Ferry Agent site again, I can get it down to around 285.00 (400euros) for a Bike and 2 people, but I'm not confident enough of my own translations and booking through a company in a foreign land, to actually pay and potentially lose £280.

We can't even get a reasonable price by putting 2 bikes and 3 people in one car.

And its still too feckin steep anyway, Sorry Guys, Dutch Rally is out for us this year. :(

If we can wangle it as part of a larger holiday (like we did in 2003) then it might happen, but not from home.

Robin B'Stard P&O can stick their ridiculous prices where the monkey shoves it's nuts.

But you booked it anyway?

Leon pointed me to a Dutch Booking co http://www.overtocht.nl/

While their prices are cheaper than the UK companies, my efforts to find anything myself have torn my hair out, however..

I'm just in email conversation with Kirsten and she has (just) done me a final price for 3 peeps 2 bikes 1 cabin for £348..

That's £240 cheaper then P&O themselves!

£116 each is getting into my zone.. I need to speak to Ray.

.. and I think you need to look at overtocht, James.

I can't see anything other than a booking fee 20euro.

The Xchange rate is 1.4 at the moment so my sums are right too.

Nope, jobs nackrd this time, when I came to book the trip thereare no 4 berth rooms left. the price with two 2 berth rooms is back in ridiculous territory.

This feels just like the ill fated Andorra 2013 trip, someone up there doesn't want us to go.
