What are your plans with the bike Rick.
Keep it as it is or a total rebuild.
It is interesting to see it in it's original build condition and I think it would be best kept as is.
Plus is this one of the earliest H1's you have ever seen.

I'm hoping I can afford to keep it, I just LOVE riding it, it purrs along, will be interesting to see what I get out of the first tank of fuel. I have a couple of H1's actually older than this One but they are sort of "immaculate" and just don't have the charisma that this bike has, I like unusual things and this one is fits the bill!
As an aside, for many years I owned one of the first H1's to come to the U.K. KAF-00184, I sold it to my pal "Z1Andy" who has now almost finished restoring it, and coincidentally, it now resides 2 Miles from the shop it was first sold at - Bill Smiths in Chester!

Easily pleased? Not that easily I bet. Is there another undiscovered totally original '69 H1 with a virgin tool kit (with original key) still in place anywhere? Possibly not. It's a small thing but I would have been thrilled to open that tool kit for the first time.

I'm with you James, I was disappointed when I saw the aftermarket keys, I was like a school kid at Christmas when I glimpsed at what I thought was the original key when making the video . . . . Simple things often bring the most pleasure
