Typical 650 fairly trouble free miles, fill up at Beccles with what must be the dirtiest fuel I have ever seen. Carbs plugged mid range splutter. Now have to drain tank and clean the carbs.
I have a mind to take a sample of fuel back to the garage and see what they have to say.

42 MPG is about right for a touring H2, it wouldn't take much to get 45

Tried to keep about 4k revs, and with my wobbly speedo needle about 70/80 mph ?, :smt102 with a few blasts over 4k :D
With Nigel following me, he even can,t run the Kawacati in top gear at that speed

Does Higgsy buy the bike to suit the colours of the room or does he decorate the room to suit the bike,

That is the question.

:D

But a bike in the house does look great.

PS are they rosettes from your horse riding days Dave.

Took the oil pump off yesterday and found it to be stuck in the full open position, that explains the 1 ltr of oil for every 150 miles.
Checked out my spare pump and replaced that.
Drained the fuel from the tank and cleaned it out. Changed the main jets to 180 from 190 mains. Now will see if I can get 25 mpg :D

Fantastic service from Dave (Higgspeed pipes). Arrived home from offshore today to find a large box waiting for me to open.
Was going to take the wife shopping tomorrow, but not now. Need to get the pipes on and give a go.

Thanks again Dave.
