That`s what I thought !! And it`s wrong. Database is as good as the information available/provided.
Nothing to do with the operator.

While I certainly would have ribbed Rick over the years for his trainspotting tendancies. He started collecting this info when were riding out of date , out of fashion old bikes. It`s an awful lot of work , which he has stuck at , as it was his hobby. Bit of a stamp collecter Ol Rick.
Now, however, by good fortune , it`s become a very useful tool ,and valuable addtion to the knowledge and history of the models and Marque.. We could never have foreseen the boom in the Classic Vintage Jap bike scene. Or the muppetery of the DVLa , which has resulted in Rick`s hobby turning into a really useful help in keeping/getting more nad more of these bikes on the road. HURRAH !!!

Yep, "YND" (especially around the 400's) was generally issued toImports

I had a YDS7 Yam with a YND xx L number plate. Was back in the day when the Local DVLA`s handed out numbers. I think they used up old unallocated reg numbers , from a centrally held list ?

on RB's database? Also my old KH500 registration number LYU 685P also doesn't show up either?

on the H1D -SHX 45L and it says its not been taxed since the end of
May 1980.So it wont be that H1D

It was in the context of the discussion, there is a hugely modified bike and you were talking about it mixing up parts like a standard bike . As if it was a critique of a standard restoration . "well, that bit is from a year later. The D had a different seat catch " That sort of thing.

Ah I see. It doesn't matter about the mix of parts, I actually said it looks quite good if it was the right money. The point I was making was some things don't quite add up and as with any special it would need a careful looking at. Caveat emptor

Is there a single thread on how to modify your triple, would be good to know what fits what in the way of non standard parts from modern bikes
Engine, suspension n brake upgrade/ swaps, that sort of thing
Must be loads of goodies out there .....

just have a look at the specials on this site an other to get an idea I've got a zxr400 front an rear on mine
