i wonder what happened to my 1975 h2c?...alive or dead...not seen her since feb 1982 ...brought the bike in november 1977 just after my 20th birthday from daytona kawasaki rhyslip middx...2 years old with 8 thousend on the clock, my pace jeans flairs were so wide i kept getting the right leg wrapping round the kickstart.. my department S peter wyngard jacket took the full brunt that afternoon coming back down the a40 into hanger lane !!..i remember the bike was priced at £999 plus a years warranty on the engine and gear box...i put £600 down and paid an extra £125 intrest over 36months ...never heard sight or sound all these years...JOW 418P..i remember the mechanic saying to me " that bikes gonna be to much for you your to skinny mate!..now i would not get through those double doors at the winning post whitton...ahhh happy days...£1,124 way back when, a small price to pay for the promised land.

if alive i wonder if its still got the original rear grabrail with a tarmack scrape through the top left where it had been down before i owned it!...ive still got the original purple tail unit which i changed because of minor scratches from the same spill..i payed£49 i think from harvey owens walworth SE1...funny thing is the original looks very good now really up on the shelf!.

It still might pop up again - some bikes spend ages waiting to be fixed/restored.

Mr Joy!!!! H1a is still tucked up in mummies garage ........ but the 70 resto is going strong in fact ordered handlebars from RBs tonight!!! See u 4 beer soon Bobby
