HIA 'WARNING DECALS' LOCATION

Some of you may know that I'm rebuilding my latest bike, a H1A. ( sorry Mr.Todd, bit of competition for you )

My question to all you 'experts' out there,

Does anybody know the 'right' position for the warning decals ???

Describe these warning decals ?

1 X don't ride over 6000 rpm (rev counter ).
1 X 'pure gasoline only' ( petrol tank ).
1 X 'iso metric size thread used' (frame ).
1 X 'caution, covering this plate may cause overheating' ?
1 X ' fill oil tank with approved oil ' (oil tank )

Just don't know exactly the right position ??

The more the merrier Chris seems to be a few A's getting fettled at the moment . more competition for the elusive parts though doesn't seem to be much for sale in the uk and our cousins across the pond seem to have lost all sense of reality with their prices

I agree, some of the parts you/we need are silly money
As my bike had many orginal parts missing, its been even harder..
Thank god for all the lovely people in the club that have helped me out.
Still need a few more.....
The pics of your bike look good, Ive been watching, and picking up a few tips.

I've been getting my H1A on the road (and riding it) over the winter but I'm afraid it's been repro bits when I can't readily find the OEM. And not too much concern about whether it's the right bolt or not I've just fitted a repro Suzuki T500 front brake cable because it fits, it's grey and it hasn't got a brake light switch but please don't drum me out of the club...

Still, at least I'm not using up too many of the "unobtainium" parts that you are after!

DO NOT FRET. !!!, This extreme originality cult is merely that. It's a minor affliction amongst a few people in the club. It just seems like it's the be all and end all, due to the high traffic of posts on here about that sort of stuff.

Some people. Collect stamps, build model train sets or collect Beer Mats. Others get a kick out of trying to reproduce an exact original bike, egged on by the other cultists who huddle together on here .

but just remember that their ultimate goal of perfection is impossible to achieve. ( but when you point that out to this Cult , they will huddle closer together and look for reassurance amongst their own sub-group that there's is the one true way !! )

. Did you know that amongst this expert group there are show winning bikes that actually have the wrong seat covers fitted !!!!!, YEs, I know !!!!! It's shocking. And the worst part of it, is these people KNOW abut this , but have not changed them !!!! it's absolutely unbelievable !!!!!!!!!!!

Your H1A has a non original Igntion system on it . and you are using non standard spark plugs. so do not get hung up about using a slightly different grey front brake cable

Be strong !! WE are the silent Majority ( well, I' m not silent !! ). We are the normal ones !!!!

the ' Great and Powerful Don ' is right, and his analogy is spot on...
The main point, is that you have a triple and that you enjoy it....
each of us in the club has their own ideas of how a bike should look. ..
mine is far from being ' right', and it might 'upset' a few people...but it doesn't matter, they're our own bikes, and we have them as WE want them to look....
the main thing is, that it's another one,' one the road ' and another one we can look at, listen to, and most of all, SMELL....
can't wait to see it....and the wrong brake cable ....( only joking )

You should see my Rickman Kawa - NOTHING IS ORIGINAL - and I got so much cash on e bay for just a handful of original Rickman parts that I discarded that it paid for the whole of the last rebuild

Wouldn't mind get my H1 exhausts rechromed though - is that possible?

rechromed exhausts usually break ask Downpipe3 :smt003
