Sorry I did not make it..
Bike let me down..
I put a new set of plugs in it last week and it seemed to start and run much better..
Started second kick on Saturday, come Sunday and it took 30 kicks to get it going and was not running well. Filled up the tank at the local petrol station and again had trouble starting .. perhaps 6 kicks or so.. and was not running very cleanly but improved on the mile or two to the M25.
Had an encouraging thumbs up from a guy in a van - which was nice .. I presume it was for the bike
and about 1/2 mile from the next junction the bike suddenly lost power .. sounding like a mis fire.
So - I came off at the next exit and nursed it about 8 miles home on A and B roads .. with 45 mph being the best speed and giving cyclists and pedestrians a good run for their money in the its a Sunday and I'm going to go bloody slow stakes.
Anyway - hope everyone had a better time at the ACE than me..
Obviously most time needed on the bike to resolve the issues before I venture too far from homethe next time
