After many set backs I was finally able to take my H2c out for its first proper ride. Richard Young followed on his H2c as well just in case things went wrong. Glad to say everything was ok. Many thanks to Richard for all his help on this restoration. Must mention Gary Clarke for his help too.

Re: So what have you done with your triple/Bike/life this we
After what seems like an age I finally got the registration for the Kettle so I could take it out on the road.
It has always been hesitant to run on three and has been oiling plugs every time it runs,
I bolted on the number plate and as it has been "Scorchio" here all day I took it out. It started and warmed up okay but I went straight to the petrol station where it went onto two cylinders.
A further mile was achieved before we were broken down at the side of the road.
The upshot is I spoke to Higgsy who has one of these and apparently the ignition switch turns into a resistor and turns 12 volts into 3
At least I can say it looks pretty, but with the Dijon trip in six weeks I need to get it sorted pronto.

Indulged myself with some 1930s style engineering. Cut a helical worm gear on my ancient lathe using a 350LC kickstart gear to index it round. Very pleased with the result!

Re: So what have you done with your triple/Bike/life this we
Well fire up the H2A and the H2b for the first time of the year.
I stopped to use the H2B on november 2015 when the housekeeper of the next building of mine on which I have a parking place for my bikes (great thing on a car place you park easily 6 bikes
) rang at my flirt around 11 PM to say mrs there was a fuel leak on it. She was right plenty of fiuel around. This means two thing: tap assy which let the fuel going on the carbs and that one of a carb has a hole on a float or something like that
I stopped to use the H2A on early december 2015. My office partner gave me back my 350 S2A when he get back his 73 Z1 after a crash.
A guy on a car decided to reverse in Paris suddenly to go in the other side, cut a white lane and hit my office partner and his bike which fall.
Great guy as iyt was only his fault so his insurance paid to my office partner four brand new Doremi exhausts(anyway the old one which were genuine began to be rotten, fork tubes, bar, master cylinder, turn signals, mirror and so on
in Paris on winter the S2A is much more better to ride that my H2A with the fact the S2 carbs slides didn't blocked o cold morning or evening.
So I part x-change the H2A and H2B tanks as the A doesn't let the fuel go in the carbs when the engine isn't running.
Will go this week to my mechanic man with the B so I can solve the carb leak.
Then I will come with my A to my mechanic man to solve the tank tap assy, to fit Denco RR on it and a little set up for the new year
The A (with B tank) started on only 2 cylinders (left one out), will change the plug and I will see as the fucking carbs slides become to block again.
The B (with A tank) runs perfectly and I even forget how nice it was to ride a rubber mounting H2.
The bikes color become also weird.
the brown B with candy gold orange tank could work but the A with blue 72 tail rest, candy cold A side covers and B brown tank is not fantastic
T
fFit also for the first time the 24 liters tank on my A. The looking isn't so bad and better than I think and the riding position is very good too (was afraid about this). Don't know yet if I will fit genuine tank or the big one (with blue 72 side covers and tail rest as the big one is blue) as all the fucking guys who come with me at Dijon have all a standard tank
