I thought I'd have a go with my H2c too so this morning I took my logbook and MOT into the local post office and showed them that it states the bike was first registered in November 1975. They said no problem, filled in some info onto a computer, I signed the form and off it went to DVLC.
They said I should get new paperwork in the post with a cheque for the tax that has been overpaid for the rest of the year.
Result.

I was told such by a young lady where I am working at the moment, when I said it was near the Post Office Tower. She looked at me "what?" - only people of a certain age (like her parents for instance) call it that, and she had no idea what they were talking about as she only knew of the BT Tower.

DVLA/DVLC That was me, slip of the keyboard.
It will always be the Post Office Tower it is to me too. Not BT Tower or Telecoms Tower.

Got my new V5 documents through from the DVLA showing my bike's now a historic vehicle.
And with it they also sent a cheque for £27.00 rebate for the tax I'd overpaid!
