Eventually got home.

On way home fixed the indicators which stopped working due to a chafed wire which drained the battery. Then gear change linkage worked loose and I went to change gear and missed a gear - engine raced to 10500 rpm. Right piston was very rattly afterwards with plenty of piston slap which got progressively worse.

Waved goodbye to Tartan who was heading for the ferry via the M40.

Managed to keep it going to Northamptonshire then gave up due to the noise and lack of power and got recovered the last 80 miles. :(

But about 1600 miles covered in the last 10 days.

a fantastic weekend we had a great time. THANKYOU to all involved. the ride out was a blast, if not a tad bit bumpy on one road  but it added to the fun ;-)

Great to see Adrian and his nipper there, thanks for the ride on the KV, just gotta blag a ride on an H2 now.

Chris Todd turned up an looked well but he did walk like an old man but thats to be expected though.

we had a better journey back than on the way up and came upon a lone traveler recognized by a the smell of two stroke with a hint of chilli in the air :?

So we stopped just south of Oxford and had a brew

Great weekend, really enjoyed putting faces to names and hopefully I'll remember your name when we meet again ? great ride-out and a good pace, I had to thrash the bike to try and work to the front, brilliant ! Strange thing is the bike was singing on the way home, maybe i should use it more  Just my opinion but better without a band. Thanks to Higgsy for leading but also to Tony for shepherding everyone back, well nearly everyone ! Dave
ps. would be really cool to see any video's and pics from the weekend.

Aye Nick, you shouldn't have sat so close to Tartan. I think he has transferred his 'luck' to you lol.

I think its fair to say that Joe enjoyed his time at the rally and loved looking at and listening to the triples..in fact he has spoken about little else since! :smt003

The future maybe?
