I'm sad (please read my text )but I love U

Post by allo allo »

Britt & Welsh friends, thank you, for the bottom of the heart. You knew how to resist all the arguments, of the most rational in the most apocalyptic, of those who militated for the remain. You chose to ignore the risks of explosion of your glorious country, Scot and Northern Irish, two of four nations of what stays of your Empire, having massively - and shamefully voted in favour of the Union. You took the risk of dividing for a long time your society between, on one hand, young people, graduates and urban, massively " remain ", and, on the other hand, old, little awarded a diploma and rural, massively " leave ", to a for a long time gaping social inequalities. A vote of an incredible courage because he politically destroyed and is economically going to weaken your country, what Europe can only be grateful to you.

Because it shows your sense of the sacrifice from which the continent benefited repeatedly, when you saved it from Napoleon's claws, then from the German hegemonism (twice). You finally understood that the place of your island was not within the Union. Although you have a big foot outside (budget, euro, Schengen, policy of safety(security) and immigration, banking union, etc.) Your only presence is enough to block any attempt of additional integration, not only by fear of displeasing you, but because it was necessary every time to imagine an additional labyrinthine system so that you kept your " special status ". As a result: the reforms of the Union always succeeded, because of you, to make her more and more illegible in the eyes of the citizens and thus to take away them from it. In spite of all our efforts, you continued to find this ultra-statutory and interventionist Europe, while the majority of the Europeans find her very too liberal: we were not lucky enough(did not have the opportunity) to know Margaret Thatcher and we remained, globally, attached to the Welfare state, to the state interventionism, to the regulated market, any things which make you horror. So, we have of agree to make tasteless the project of the founding fathers and to practise a politics(policy) of the middle term which, in the end(final), displeases everybody: Europe managed of the exploit to invent the statutory ultraliberalism!

You attended the shocks which shook the Union since 2008 and you understood that the Union risked to die under the weight of its contradictions, its paralyses, its compromises and the mediocrity of his national leaders who feed a more and more strong skepticism towards an European project made responsible for all the national difficulties. You thus decided to kick us in behind: if the shock of the departure of one of the four big countries of the Union does not wake us, if we do not mobilize for relaunching a construction which assured the peace on the continent for 70 years, it is that really we deserve to disappear. Your Churchillian surge will stay in the history! Because you know what waits for you: after the Second World War, you sank into the economic depression to the point that the IMF(INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND) had to rush to your rescue, as vulgar one Greece. Your GDP(GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT), during your membership(support) in 1973, was one of the lowest of the EEC, and that's why you joined a project which felt reluctant at you. If Churchill was for the United States of Europe, it was obviously with the United Kingdom which would be the guardianship authority and not a simple member , no more important than France!

I am impressed, as usual, by your sense of the sacrifice and the collective interest. When I think of what waits for you, so much to cut the links between you and us (200 trade agreements signed on your behalf by the Union which you go to have to renegotiate, 80000 pages of community laws which he is going to need to sort out to avoid the gaps in the law, the operations in euros which are going to leave for the old continent that to try to keep an access to the single market, in particular for your banks and your financial services, I can only greet your courage! It is years of uncertainties, storms, from tearings which expect for you. Hats off, sirs English people! Let us hope that we shall know how to show ourselves deserving of your sacrifice. At any rate, good luck for your solitary adventure.

The world will not implode because the UK has voted to pull out of the EU.

Things may be worse or better for us, things may be worse or better for the remaining EU, no one knows, but what is certain.. It will be different.

We haven't fallen out with our EU friends, we simply don't wish to live in the same house, the rules of the house no longer suit us..

Like when you left home, you (probably) didn't fall out with yer mum n dad, just wanted your own space.

we have no plan !!!!

But we have not left Europe. We have just decided to resign from a Club , as the Committee were not listening to their members.
We will still drive German cars , and drink French wine. And if you will permit us . Still visit you on our holidays . although we will have less money to spend with you !!!

,Good luck with the Euro. Good luck with the Greeks . Good luck with Albania, Romania et al .

now we must go. very busy . We need to have a conversation with the USA , China and India. and our long lost friends and relations in Australia , NewZealand ans South Africa. They tell us they have good wine, cheese and raw materials to sell us at very good prices. and they are very interested that we can sell them our Whisky , our "hunters" and langoustines at. Good prices too !!!

Wow expected this thread to go ballistic........., but guessing we don't know how its gonna pan out so keeping it close to chests. Jean I met you at a rally a few years ago on your h1b along with JP and saw what a nice guy you are. We will have to see what happens now mon frere as it could go either way over here.............. On a different note I saw a lot of the Somme rememberances on tv today and totally taken away with the human sacrifice that happened. Then Time Team unearthed this fookin great underground flamethrower set underneath no mans land and then REME made a replica and WOW it worked ! Bon chance as I love France and its people and culture and what they will stand up for........normally a lot better than us!! Just my thoughts guys.

I love France. My wife loves France. I admire the French people but it's not necessary to lie in the same bed. There's no reason why we can't rub along quite nicely without gluttonous bureaucrats dictating the shots. Goodbye but hello.

I've always fancied a bit a 2 seater sports car touring so splashed out a couple of hundres quid on an MGF. Had the head gasket done and I am planning to take the missues to the south of France in September. She has come over all nervous since the vote (she voted stay, I voted leave). We won't be welcome she says. Bollocks says I, I love France and never met an unfriendly Frenchman yet (one women in a shop yes, who pretended she didn't understand my attemps to buy a few mushrooms, I just went to the next shop). We are going and I know we will receive a warm welcome. We may have voted to leave thge EU, but we haven't left NATO, and we haven't left the United Nations :smt005

Makes perfect sense that !!
Every Hollywood Film these days, the evil villain is British ( actually, English ! )

So , as a Nation perhaps it`s time we became the bad guys. Switch sides . Support the Russians.

We get to stop all foreign aid, spend it on jacuzzis and free beer in all NHS Hospitals. ( One on every street. )

And we start building a Fleet again,....of Pirate Ships . We just take anything we want , before the ships from China reach Europe !!!
Ha Har me hearites !!! Farage as Pirate King. .
Crikey, Boris might think that`s a good idea !!!
